Aric Froggy Frog is an instrumentalist, deejay, and music producer based in Flagstaff, Arizona. Since 2020 he’s released 21 various projects ranging from instrumental Hip-Hop, Lo-Fi, and House music. In April of 2023 he released “Casually Faded, Love Accelerated” which served as his debut in the art of Rap. “Sherbet” is his Rap follow up, and also a debut via Fang Over Fist Records.

The majority of the project was completed within a month, and many of the songs were finished within the same sitting. Roughly twenty one tracks were recorded with the final track list being narrowed down to his favorite thirteen. The idea behind this rapid fire approach to music composition was to encapsulate the energy, and aura happening within that particular moment. Aric’s style of writing is almost spontaneous, and the experience is evident of that with the listener going step by step with his thoughts in the moment. The authenticity was very important trying to make it as original, and honest as possible.

The idea for “Sherbet” was born after a night of going out with friends. Aric Froggy Frog, Colin Haviland, and DJ Tsoh Tso had already discussed the idea of Aric releasing a Lo-Fi album with Fang Over Fist Records. By that time Aric had already released 19 of various instrumental projects, and wanted to challenge himself with rapping instead. The album title was conceived not long after. During a sit-down with various friend the idea that everybody has their own unique ice cream flavor based on personality was thrown around in conversation. Frog was dubbed as the "Sherbet '' flavor, and when the time came to find a name for the project, that's where he landed on, considering it was supposed to be a unique, organic project.
